Salt Lake City, Utah
It is 7:30am on Monday and I have just woken up in Salt Lake City. Yesterday we did 427 miles, average speed 71.1 miles, for total driving time of 6 hours and 6 minutes. We woke up in Cheyenne and looked out of the window to see a thick fog. It was only 21F when we left, but fortunately soon after leaving the weather improved. Wyoming was the most beautiful state so far with very good views all the way. Very sparsely populated and only a few small truck-stops that are called towns in this part of the world. Driving into Salt Lake City provided for more good scenery. We are staying with DA's cousin and her father in a nice house in a suburb of SLC. Yesterday they took us to a local Chinese restaurant that was very good, and after dinner we walked around in the downtown area to see the Mormon temples. DA was afraid we would be proselytized but no such thing happened.
