Perrysburg, Ohio
I am writing from the Best Western Hotel in Perrysburg, Ohio, just South of Toledo. Our travel stats today are: net driving time 8 hours 35 minutes, distance covered 530 miles, average speed 61 miles/hour. This morning in Philadelphia the weather was very nice, but between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh more and more clouds appeared and driving into Ohio we had snow storms and temperatures below zero! So much for Spring having arrived. It is really COLD with a strong wind making it unpleasant to be outside. A first impression of the "real" America is that everything is bigger than in other parts of the world, especially the food and drink portions. Even the lattes and muffins are much larger than for instance in Singapore. Tonight we had dinner in a traditional American bar annex "diner" called Fat Jack's and one burger there would feed 3 people in Europe and about 5 in Asia. DA just did his exercises and I should do the same or I will be seriously fat very soon.
