Ehsan Jami

This is Ehsan Jami, an immigrant of Irani origin living near The Hague. Recently, he got a lot of publicity because he is one of the co-founders of a "Committee for Ex-Muslims". He is a very brave guy; as you may know many Muslims do not approve of Muslims abandoning their faith and death threats against Ehsan have already been issued by conservative Imams and other terrorists. What made me very angry is that his political party, Labour PvdA, for which he is a member of the Municipal Council of Leidschendam-Voorburg, is not supporting him 100%. The party is afraid to lose support from Muslims living here, so they have asked him to respect the opinions of more conservative Muslims. In this country, everybody should be totally free to choose and abandon any religion, church or faith. People who do not agree with these freedoms do not belong here. We all should support Ehsan Jami.

An interesting excerpt on how one Muslim woman lost her respect for the religion...
