As expected, an Eastern European country won the Eurovision Song Contest: Serbia. (OS said: "a lesbian from Serbia won") There are lots of complaints in Western Europe that all Eastern countries are guilty of political voting. For instance, Serbia got the maximum 12 points from all the other ex-Yugoslav republics. Long time Eurovision favourites such as Ireland, Germany, France and the UK ended at the bottom of the tables.
