Singapore propaganda in action

Singapore's propaganda machine never ceases to surprise me:

"The strong tripartite relationship which Singapore enjoys today will be affected if good and capable political leaders are not retained, says labour chief Lim Swee Say. To retain these top talents in political office, salaries need to be increased to remain competitive, adds the NTUC Secretary General."

So here's the country's top labour leader supporting the increase of the elite's salaries. Shouldn't he be worrying about the absence of a minimum wage or the lack of a social security safety net?

What's next? The Singapore Vegetarian Society asking us to eat more meat? A joint statement by Singapore's churches to have more gay sex, preferably SM sex?
