We had our official "closing down of business" dinner yesterday. Everyone that was employed by our department at the time that the closure was announced in August 2006 had been invited and 22 colleagues showed up. It was so good to talk about the bizarre way some of our bosses operated, and about the weird characters that we have worked with over the years. Lots of stories about sex and alcohol. For sure, when you send people half-way across the world to work in some developing country it doesn't always bring out the most noble character traits in them.......Restaurant Dynasty was great as always. It is a fusion Asian restaurant (mostly Thai and Chinese dishes) and the quality of their beef and fish is amazing.
Cycled home with AY who is happy in her new job.
