Amsguy not happy

OS has been diagnosed with a malign cancer in his mouth. We went to the hospital today and the doctor told us they want to operate as quickly as possible, maybe already next week. It all sounds bad: the operation is going to take 5-10 hours, OS needs to stay in hospital for some two weeks, and they need to do "restorative" work meaning they are going to cut lots. They probably will have to do radiation therapy as well. OS is scared as shit, but I think he doesn't really realize yet that it is not only going to be a long operation and two weeks in hospital, but he may have long term problems with speaking, eating, drinking, swallowing..... Of course I cancelled my trip to Asia, I need to be here now. I feel so powerless and alone.....
